Yes, but not for the reason you think.
I don’t believe couples should live together at all unless they are married.

it’ll never happen, unless he just doesn’t show up at court AND you have a good (expensive) lawyer AND the ‘abandonment and physical danger’ you’re talking about is very serious (life & death serious) and well documented (by professionals who have been involved in the case).

judges these days are really against taking away all rights from any parent.

and if you can’t afford a lawyer (and there are cheap ones out there), how could you afford a child? children are way more expensive.

Until you get a court order saying you have full permanent custody of the child, the father has as much right to the child as you do. Just because you are the mother, and there is no court order, don’t fool yourself into thinking you automatically have custody.

the chancery court said I had to get forms online to file for sole custody of my kids.I’m not sure what forms are the right ones.Me and their father have never been married.

Although you seem to be seeking a form unique to the UK, I’d suspect any legally prepared document would be good as an example to go by.

My son’s father and I have just had a DNA Test done and of course, he is the father. I knew that but he didn’t, however, now that he does, I’m afraid he will try to take off with him. I’ve been looking for sole custody forms for Oklahoma. Can someone please tell me where I can go or what I can do to gain custody so that he can’t take off with my son? Thank you.

if you have taken him to court for child support those papers can be used. If not keep the mothers copies of the BC. those say you werent married. Im guessing in your state an unwed mother has sole custody.
My sons father jerked him out of his car seat and tried to take him and i asked the cops what i needed to prove i had sole custody.

can the mom use that as a reason to take full custody of their son?
