How easy is it to get joint custody of my child?
My son is 11 and I have hime every other day and every other weekend. I do not keep him overnight during the school year. I am a great father and I feel I deserve the same things with my child that my ex wife gets.
I would go and speak to an attorney so they could advise you on what your rights are.

Consult a lawyer for looking at your parental rights and custody issues..each parent has the same parental rights to their child

Once parental custody has been established – it is almost impossible to reverse it. Unless she is unfit – the judges don’t see a value in messing up the kids life any further than it already has. Sorry.

So what you want your child to move back and forth throughout the school year? You may deserve more time and it’s great that you are willing to fight for it, but you need to put your child’s needs first! Do you think that it will benefit him to be moving back and forth and have no stable place to call home? Why don’t you keep him overnight on the weekends?? That I would insist on!
I have to repeat I think it is wonderful that you are fighting to be the best Dad you can but I warn you don’t get blinded by your anger towards your ex. Keep what is best for your son first.
