Joint Child custody in Washington State?
I’m getting a divorce and my wife’s attorney says that state law states that I, as a father can’t have overnight visits until she’s 2 years old. Is that true and why, I’m a normal guy and she’s a normal girl.
Although it isn’t law it is a generally accepted practice in most states as most psychologists believe that children under 2 cannot handle the emotional side of the situation.
Be ready though – get a lawyer and file for full custody. Also trying mediation services can sometimes get you the overnight rights.

She is lying.Go to court and file for shared custody of your baby.
