It doesn't matter if she got a high priced New York attorney and it doesn't matter if the father is a total d-ick. Otherwise just check online or the phonebook and look for family lawyers and call each of them and explain the situation and I'm sure you'll find one with a good heart that will do it pro bono or low cost.
