Is it fair that a mother could lose custody of her daughter?

Is it fair that a mother could lose custody of her daughter, if she has to move to a different state, because she can’t find a local job? The economy is so bad that many people have to leave the area to find a job. If she can’t do this than she can’t affort to feed her daughter and put a roof over her head. That is the way it is, becase the child support she gets is less than $50.00 a month.

Totally not fair.

No, people don’t typically lose custody just because they move for emplyment purposes; there is more to it. If leaving the state, yes, certain rules/conditions apply if custody is joint w/the other parent. Most parents are able to work this out, so not sure exactly sure what else is going on.
