Who has custody of baby born to teenage mother and adult father in Oklahoma?

The mother is 17 and the father is 20.
Who has custody, and is the mother allowed to move out of state with out the permission of the father?

You can not move out of the state that the child was born under any circumstances wheter or not you have fully custody or not even if the father isn’t on the birth certificate. You have to have permission from the other parent as well.

If the father is not listed on the birth certificate, then the mother has presumed sole custody of the child in OK. With sole custody, the father has no bearing on whether the mother can take the child out of state.

    This all depends.

First, 16 is the legal age of consent so there are no legalities involving statutory rape.

Now, has the father signed the birth certificate? has paternity been established? has a custody order been placed?

    More details are needed.

Him not being on the BC gives her more leeway. However, he can always go to court for his father rights.

And why would the mother deprive the child of his/her father?

the mother always has custody of the child unless she proves she is not a fit mother.and if the father is not listed on the birth cert then the mother can travel anywhere with the child with out any-ones permission.

The mother has custody unless the courts say otherwise. If they are married they both have custody. She can take the baby wherever she wants unless the court says otherwise.

Single mothers have sole custody in 49 states at the time of the birth, but he can file an injunction to stop the move, regardless of the law. He can also file up to six months after the move to have the child returned to the local jurisdiction. Oklahoma has jurisdiction. Though I would question him allowing a 17 year old to get into his pants, especially since 20% of you are trying to get pregnant according to a study sponsored by Tyra Banks, I do teach fathers how to do this.
