do i need permission for a dna test from the parent with custody?
I have a child who is 3 years old and i want to take a dna test to prove that he is not mine. The mother has full custody of the child, so would i need permission from the mother to take it?
Yes, you need permission for a DNA test from the parent with custody. You can possibly go to court and if the judge feels like you have a legitimate request, she will request that the female have a paternity test done.

yes, because you will need dna from the child and she has custody, she would have to be present or give consent for it to be taken.

Yes, you need permission. But you can petition the court for a DNA test and I'm sure it will be granted.

WHAT?
you write: I have a child who is 3……
NO, you have to ask the Court & Family Services to get a DNA test, you will be a bill for $700.+ for it……. if you deny & ask for a blood test, then you will have to pay for it……….
Why do you say You have a child, who is 3, then deny it? OR take her on the Maury SHow………where they will pay for it!
& then you can get it done on that day……
CONDOMS………… CONDOMS………….CONDOMS…………….

if you pay child support then you can get a court order for the dna easily, otherwise it will be much harder

Can you message me?
As for your question, You will more than likely need to go to court and file for a paternity test.

You can purchase a DNA test from places like walgreens I hear. You can do DNA tests without having to go to court for less than 100 or 200. But if in fact it comes out to be that the child is not yours, you will then have to pay for a court type DNA test which costs much more. But just to ease your mind before you go through all that, I'd do the home DNA test. They have tons of websites. Or, not sure how much the walgreens test costs. I did mine online and pricked mine and my sons fingers and sent the blood samples in and received the results in the mail in a week.
