Parent Custody Blog

Helping keep you informed on Parent Custody issues….

My mother wants to give me guardianship or custody of my little sister but we don’t know how to do it. She lives out of state and is having trouble getting someone to help her, because they all tell her they don’t have jurisdiction in the county that we live in. How can we do that? Ans who do we contact?

Sorry that your mother is getting the runaround. Would you be willing to make a call to one of our trained parenting counselors? The Boys Town National Hotline could help to answer your question regarding guardianship. You can contact a counselor at 1-800-448-3000, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hopefully, you will find the answers you need soon.
