If both parents give up custody of child why does neither parent have to pay child support to the government?
If One parent gives up custody, the other has to pay child support.
If Both parents give up custody, neither has to pay a cent towards the child.
How is that fair to a person who doesn’t want to raise a child but has to pay child support and how is it fair to the child who is put in orphanage but just gets barely gets its basic needs met with no outside support finacially?
In california the parents must pay fostercare expenses. If their put up for adoption, then someone else has decided to raise the child.

I’m not too sure about your second question…it’s not fair…as for the first, if you’re mature enough to have sex, you’re mature enough to have a child. Should’ve considered adoption when it was an option.

who ever said children get put in an orphanage if both parents give up custody? they are usually put into foster care.if both parents give up the child, they are basically giving up any relationship and their life with the child.so there for,the child isn’t theres anymore so they dont have to pay child support.not all orphanages barely meet a childs needs.we are not in romania you know.i agree with you about all this not being fair to the child but thats the way it is.

If both parents give up custody they also give up parental rights and responsibilities.
This isn’t the best thing for the child but probably better tha two deadbeat parents.

Because our government is fudged up. Did you also know that a single mother who receives cash assistance for even a minute is only expected to pay it back if she was responsible enough to keep it to one guy and know who the father is while the the two-bit whores screwing every Tom, Dick, and Harry out there who either don’t know who the father of their child is or just happens to "forget" his name aren’t held accountable. Again, our government is fudged up.
Another interesting fact:
An out of work, single, never had a kid (at least that they acknowledge or the mother wants to acknowledge), junkie is eligible to receive medical coverage so he/she can go to rehab but a grown man/woman who has worked their life away to pay for these junkies medical coverage isn’t eligible while he is between jobs because he is physically capable of working. Again, our government is fudged up.
Yet another interesting fact:
A guy claiming he is still disabled and cannot work receives disability for himself and his family is working a repair shop out of his house as well as a contracting business, gets reported but nothing is done because the public is supposed to prove it and until they do the government’s work for them, nothing will be done. Again, our government is fudged up.
Our government allows the scammers to make the profit, the politicians to eat up our funds while the honest, hard working people of this nation suffer. DOWN WITH THE OLD GOVERNMENT, UP WITH THE NEW THAT IS JUST AS HONEST AND HARD-WORKING AS THE PEOPLE OF OUR NATION GETTING IT UP THE REAR.

that is a good question! I think that makes alot of sense. Unless the parents gave up parental rights, than they won’t have to pay
